Rockstar Energy Racing’s Elite Amateur team of Jace Owen, Daniel Baker, Eric Goodson and Michael Mosiman came together to race against the top riders in the US for two straight week long amateur nationals. The races were held in Decatur, TX at Oak Hill MX, then finished off in Pell City, AL at Millcreek MX. The quartet put together some good results carding 8 podium finishes including 15 top tens.

Jace Owen put together a really good two weeks settling in as one of the top contenders in the B class this year. After recording several podium finishes he topped off the trip with two titles at Millcreek. He ran up front all week against really heavy competition getting particularly big holeshots on multiple occasions. It looks like the RM-Z250 is working really well for him as he has been a part of the Rockstar Energy Racing program for several years now on the same equipment. Look for Jace to only improve as the year goes on.

Daniel Baker is not only new to the team this year, but also new to riding a Suzuki, and in his first year making the jump from mini bikes. His transition has been fairly seamless however and he looks really good on the bigger bikes. He was only able to ride at Millcreek but was able to still secure a 2nd and 3rd overall in the 3 moto format. Daniel’s comfort level will certainly continue to rise as he adapts to the multiple changes.

A class rider Eric Goodson is also a new addition to the team this year. Eric experienced some bad luck and crashes but looked very fast all week at Millcreek. One moto coming from the back all the way to 9th. A tough feat for anyone in the hotly contested pro class. Eric was able to pick up two top tens overall for the week in Alabama.

Michael Mosiman was a Rockstar Suzuki rider last year but was selected to contend the 85cc classes through a new long term building program on the elite team. Michael scored 5 top ten finishes over the two weeks including a podium finish to end the trip at Millcreek. He was able to pick up a 3rd overall in the very competitive 85 12-13 Mod class.
